never take yourself too seriously

friendship

For months I had just about given up on a friendship. I stopped trying. I just didn't care any more to hear about her problems that weren't really problems because I'd had to deal with so much more in my life. Which I know sounds terrible and judgmental, but it is true. She hasn't had to deal with death or someone she loves being in the hospital for months. She hasn't had to grow up yet. So because of that, I ignored all of the good that she brought into my life. All of the fun times and memories. But the past two weeks we have been hanging out and it is as if those months never happened. We share the same friendship that we have always had. Its nice to know that even when your entire world has changed, you still have those old friendships that you can fall back on. Even being separated, its as if nothing has happened. Your friendship just picks up where you left off.

Life isn't always easy

This is how I see the world :

Life isn't always going to be easy, but the very fact that it isn't always smooth sailing is what inspires us to do better... to find new ways to be happy and to satisfy ourselves. There will be times in our lives that we fell unsure, but the rough journey is what stimulates us to find the means to go out there and get the life that we have always dreamed about.

At the end of the day... what matters the most?

How fully did you live?

How deeply did you let go?
