Poety Challenge

Recently I've been reading a book about exploring yourself and your own creativity. Own of the challenges with the book is to write a poem that uses words that you found in a book/magazine that somehow spoke to you or jumped out at you. You aren't supposed to read a full book or anything, just skim a few pages and write down the words. After you find some words that you like you use them to craft a poem. I took out an old leather bound thesaurus and wrote this.

of a wanderer
full of tenderness
who dallied in the still waters

embark
become the navigator
say the words you've been longing to say

shout it

whisper it
like the fog rolling in
over the pavement
lithe and sweet

words
set sail on the open water
of your tender passion

love.
